Address: Corso Europa, Piazza Lanzoni

Tourist offices:

Description: This work is the fruit of the collaboration between a ceramist Emidio Galassi, and an architect Tiziano Dalpozzo. Deliberately created to “be used”, “La citta edonista” is something in between a fountain, a complex bench and a work of urban design. The sculpture is made up of a part in refractory bricks shaped differently so that with the changing of light in the different times of the day, the texture of the shadows on the adjacent surfaces also changes. The central structure – a wall – transforms into a bench on the side towards the street and the garden (with seats of different sizes and heights for various users, from children to adults) and into a fountain at its two extremities.

Directions: From the city centre take Corso Saffi until it enters Borgo Durbecco after crossing the bridge of the Lamone river of Ponte delle Grazie, and becomes Corso Europa. At the first tree lined opening is Piazza Lanzoni on the left.
