Ceramic sculpture located in the piazzetta Santa Lucia square
Explaination: This is an abstract work of 1983, of extreme rigour and nudity: the form may vaguely recall that of a door, in agreement with the title (“Passaggio” – passage) and also with the position, that seems to welcome the visitor entering Faenza from the south. The material is terracotta; the author is the Faentine ceramist Giovanni Cimatti.
Directions: From the centre (piazza del Popolo) go south along corso Matteotti until the characteristic “punta” – point (piazzetta S.Lucia) where via Castellani is on the right and via Minardi runs to the left. The monument is located towards the end of the “point” in the flowerbed under the two southern oaks.
