Explaination: The name and the configuration of the present construction are all that remain of a watchtower probably erected in the XV century, a short distance from the location of the castle of Fognano (XIII century).Later, other buildings were added to the tower which give origin to the present farm house (Dorile).

Additional notes: A little under the tower you can see a good example of a big landslide due to the detachment and subsequent sliding of the large stratified rocky masses caused by the infiltration of water.

Timetable:
The tower is always viewable from outside.

Rate:
Admission is free.

Directions: La Torretta can be reached from the state road that connects Brisighella to Marradi. At Fognano take the provincial road for Valletta for about 2 km. When you reach the road-fork, turn right and continue to the tower.
