Description: It seems that the church dedicated to Saint Peter, was reconstructed for the first time in 1464, as fulfilment of a vow taken during a terrible plague that hit the Valle del Lamone. The present church was erected in 1824 and is divided into three naves in the Latin cross design. On the main altar of precious marble with an artistic tabernacle by Augousto Rannucci dated 1865, a canvas painting stands out representing Christ giving the keys to Saint Peter on the banks of the river Lamone with the Fort of Brisighella in the background, a work by Gaspare Mattioli in1853. Recently, in the presbytery, a second altar of marble was added and decorated with ceramics of prized workmanship. In addition, it is possible to admire a valuable canvas painting by Mattioli dedicated to the “Madonna delle Grazie”.
