Explaination: The first memories of Sant’Apollinare Church part of the parish of Monte Mauro, date back to 1362. The origins of the Church are certainly older, fragments of stone date back to Byzantine-Roman times (XI-XII century), walls under the portico are probably from the old primitive church. As the church was a long way from the parish it has its own baptismal font (a privilege normally reserved in those days for the parish centre). The current church was built in 1901/2.The church bell is particularly interesting, a large quadrangular building with a pinnacle on top, the building is mainly made of sandstone blocks and stone from the river. Inside the building is a table painting by the famous Innocenzo of Imola.
